19th May 2010
We have decided to set up a blog informing you of any offers, recent news of interest and other such information. 2010 has been good so far for us. As well as our assessments we have taken on many new children with and without a diagnosis to tutor privately. We are also in the process of setting up some intensive courses for children over the summer holidays to bring them up to speed ready for a new school year in September.

With exams drawing to an end and reports soon to be dished out we are getting many enquiries from parents who are concerned about how much progress their children have or have not made this year. Do you think your child may have dyslexia? Or at the very least some barrier which is preventing them from reaching their potential? If you are nodding as you read this then maybe you should consider contacting us for an assessment.

What a busy summer we have had so far! With many assessments all over the country we haven't had time to stand still! If you are thinking of having your child assessed, don't delay it until September. It is always best to start a new year safe in the knowledge of your child's specific difficulties. You can then present the report to the new teacher and support can be put into place straight away. I wish you all a lovely summer holiday and let's hope we see some more of that sunshine!

Well that sunshine came and went and we are not enjoying this rain! Thankfully, rain does not stop us jetting around the country assessing children and adults! Our bookings are coming in thick and fast now. Don't delay in getting the appropriate support for your child. Why not subscribe to our newsletter before you take the plunge? The autumn edition will be out in the next few days...

5th September
Well, the Autumn Term is here! Over the last few weeks we have been busy with many assessments. We have also expanded our Workplace Consultancy. Dyslexia can be problematic in the workplace if sufficient support and guidance is not given. Bright Star will assess the needs of the employee, determine the extent of their dyslexia and give employers guidance and training on how best to support their dyslexic employees.

15th October

With half term fast approaching we thought that we should let you know how we've been getting on. So far the Autumn Term has been great. Lots of new faces and assessments. As we rely heavily on word of mouth, we are now offering 10% refund if you book an assessment and then recommend a friend. So discuss it with your friends and see if they too share some concerns about their child's literacy development.

28th November

Well it looks as though this cold snap make be staying for a while! At least its not stopping us getting out to assess and teach! Our nationwide tuition is growing every week. Parents Evenings have reminded many parents that they should get that assessment done sooner rather than later...If you think that your child may have a difficulty then don't hesitate to contact us!

If there are any literacy or numeracy concerns, then why not get them checked out to ensure you are getting the best support for your child. Booking time is minimal and we will always try to accommodate you. Book now!

24th June

Summer holidays are not too far away and school reports will be handed out soon! When you've had a read of the report, have a little think - are the comments about handwriting? spelling? reading? writing? memory? clumsiness? It might be worth having an assessment to check whether or not your child has a learning difficulty which is preventing them from reaching their potential.
